A staff favorite at South L.A. Bunny has won the "Best Personality" award at the shelter. She is a total flirt, immediately rolling over on her back, begging for someone to rub her smooth white tummy. She'll do figure 8's around your legs and lay on your feet -- anything for attention, until you are infatuated.
Bunny can be a bit difficult on a leash around other dogs at times -- that is a fact. Is it just sheer excitement? Or an issue with a leash or a kennel door? Tonight when I asked a supervisor to take her for a test run, Bunny was giving kisses to her pal in the hallway. And when the other pittie girl started to growl and snap, Bunny retreated immediately and did her Figure 8 between the supervisor's legs. Bunny has been kenneled alone as she was spayed for a pending adoption, her stitches still fresh. Yet over the weekend, when the door between Bunny's kennel and that of a husky on the other side was opened, Bunny enjoyed his company immensely. So, it's hard to know what is going on in between those outstandingly tall ears.
Red-listed on 5-31 - Bunny only has a couple of days left. Bunny's joy is contagious. She is so full of life -- upside down and rightside up.
